TheStateofAI.com has named Melissa Rosenthal as its Editor-in-Chief, effective immediately. She will lead the publication's editorial direction and oversee its coverage of AI news, data, and strategy for enterprise leaders.
Rosenthal joins with a long track record in media and brand building. She is currently the founder of Outlever, which powers both TheStateofAI.com and TheStateofBrand.com. She was a founding executive at Cheddar, the live video news company covering business and culture, where she served as Chief Revenue Officer and Executive Vice President and helped grow it from the start. She went on to become the first Chief Creative Officer at ClickUp, where she ran brand strategy and creative during the company's fastest period of growth.
Before that, Rosenthal was Global Vice President of Creative at BuzzFeed. She joined in 2010 and helped build the company's branded content business, which became one of its biggest revenue drivers and a model the rest of the industry followed. Her work has been recognized by Forbes' 30 Under 30, Business Insider's 30 Most Creative People Under 30, and Digiday's Changemakers.
She steps into the role as more executives look for reliable reporting to help them make sense of how AI is changing their businesses. Rosenthal will set the editorial voice, grow the team, and expand the publication's analysis and original coverage.
"I've spent my career helping companies find their voice and build an audience, and AI is the most important story in business right now," Rosenthal said. "There's a lot of noise out there. My goal is to make TheStateofAI.com the place enterprise leaders actually trust to cut through it."
